Do I have to watch it the whole time?
Initially a little more, but later, once you have coordinated your signals or sounds, diaper-free even works at night.
Sure, my 3-month-old daughter also tells me beforehand when she needs to go to the toilet!
Yes, that's right. That's exactly what she does 😉 not with words, of course, but with her own gestures or movements. Just pay attention 😃
I can't teach my under-1-year-old to pee on command!
That's right, because that would be the wrong approach. It works exactly the other way around: your child knows when they need to go and wants to show you. You just don't have the language for it yet. That's why you can use the timing method at first. For example, always after breastfeeding.
That might work at home, but not when you're out and about.
You can also practice potty training on the go, even without a potty in nature. Of course, it's more difficult in the city or in the car, but nobody's stopping you from using diapers as a backup. This won't confuse your child at all and will make you both feel much more relaxed. 😎
Honestly, I don't have time to wait for a sign to come.
Of course, you have to focus more on your baby in the first few days and weeks, but in the long run you'll save yourself the diaper changing time and taking out the trash.
And who holds their baby over the potty all day long, nonstop??
Hopefully not, because that makes absolutely no sense 🙄 Elimination communication makes dealing with your baby's bodily functions easier because it works at specific times and with specific triggers. Just try it out, you can't go wrong 🤗
