FAQ
Elimination Communication – can that even work with a newborn?
Babies have a natural ability to tell when they need to pass. Every newborn can give clear signs when it has to go to the toilet. This ability is often lost through the use of diapers from birth and must be retrained in infancy.
EC'ing is not about training your child - on the contrary: it is about noticing their natural signals, communicating with your baby and understanding them.
Up to what age can my child use Easypisi?
The Easypisi potty is designed for children up to 24 months. Even Ignaz, one of the founders, kept his boy up to this age and then went straight to the toilet with him.
However, it is important that the baby is always supervised by the parents, especially as it gets older and heavier. Easypisi is not intended for small children to sit on independently, but to be held between the legs or on a table.
I am a midwife and I am very enthusiastic about your potty. I would love to show it in my childbirth classes. Is there a midwife discount?
Midwives always get a discount on their first order and can also register as dealers on our website. There you will receive more favorable conditions for larger orders.
How do I make the transition from diaper to potty?
It is not so difficult. Feel free to check out our how-to guide or follow diaper-free coaches on YouTube and Instagram. Our customers say that the change is easiest in the summer or on vacation, when initial mishaps are not so tragic.
My child is 12 months old, is it too late for Easypisi now?
No.
Every diaper saved is a positive contribution to the environment. Even after wearing a diaper for many months, your child can become diaper-free. It is important that you know your child's signals, because only then can restraint work perfectly. Alternatively, you can approach the issue by holding only on certain occasions, such as after breastfeeding, and using regular or reusable diapers the rest of the time. Just try it.
What material is Easypisi made of?
Easypisis are made from 100% recycled polypropylene in Bavaria. We give a second life to the material that already existed in a different form and thus protect the environment.
What pollutants does the potty contain?
None.
We request pollutant reports at regular intervals from our raw material manufacturer, who examines our material for the following pollutants: phthalates, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, tin, tantalum, tungsten and gold.
These substances have not yet been detected in our products.
We can give the all-clear on the much-discussed BPA, since BPA is primarily used as a starting material for the synthesis of polymer plastics based on polyesters, polysulfones, polyether ketones, polycarbonates and epoxy resins. Since we do not use these plastics and do not need plasticizers (the Easypisi is not soft), we exclude BPA from our products.
We gave birth to a premature baby. Isn't it too small for Easypisi?
With preemies, it depends on how big they actually are. It may not be advisable to EC from day 1 because the pee-pee-schield is too wide to fit between the baby's legs. In this case, we advise buying the Easypisi from the 3rd-4th month.
